1.1. Use a solution of white vinegar, water, and dishwashing liquid
Vinegar holds a natural capacity to clean. It is in use as a household cleaning agent. Moreover, a dishwasher can also help to break the stains residuals.
Dab the carpet surface with a piece of cloth to absorb all the liquid. It is important to wipe off all the liquid if the spill is fresh. Do not try to rub the surface. This step will make room for more stain absorption on the carpet surface. Once you have wiped the extra liquid from the surface, now you can deep clean.

- Cleaning vinegar
- Warm water
- Dishwashing liquid
- Microfibre cloth

- Now add half a cup of vinegar to the bowl.
- Add one cup of water to the vinegar and dishwashing liquid. Stir it well.
- Make sure the mixture is well combined.
- Now soak the clean microfibre cloth in the solution.
- Take out the piece of cloth, and put the damp cloth on the area where the dye spilled.
- Repeat the process multiple times. Dab the soft cloth on the surface, soak it again in the liquid, and repeat.
- Do not rub the surface with a cloth. Initially scrubbing is also not a good idea.
- Once the dye comes off, rinse the area to remove any smell of vinegar.
1.2. Use baking soda and liquid detergent
Baking soda is a natural cleaning and brightening agent. It also helps to remove odor from clothes. Before using baking soda, make sure it will not rupture the quality of your carpet.

- Baking soda
- Liquid detergent
- Water
- Cloth
- Vinegar
- Soft-bristled brush
Steps:
- Spray or spread liquid detergent on the surface where hair dye stain is present.
- Now sprinkle the baking soda on the detergent. Add a gentle amount of baking soda.
- Once you have sprinkled the soda, add a small amount of vinegar and spray it on the baking soda.
- This step will initiate the reaction.
- In case your stain is fresh, take a sponge or toothbrush, once you have applied all the things.
- Now brush the surface. This step will produce the foam, and the mixture of ingredients will soak down deep in the surface.
- In case the stain is fresh, sprinkle the ingredients and wait until the vinegar soaks in. Then lightly dab the surface with a piece of cloth.
- Wash with cool and clean water and let the surface dry.

- Cotton
Steps:
- Take a cotton ball and soak it in the rubbing alcohol.
- Now take the cotton and dab it gently on the surface of the stain. Leave it for a while.
- Make sure the cotton is damp.
- Now repeat the process more than once unless you do not see the stain getting light.
- Clean with normal water.
1.4. Apply Ammonia and dishwashing liquid
Ammonia is a strong cleaning agent. It can help you to get rid of hair dye stains from the carpet. Before using ammonia on your carpet, make sure that your carpet is friendly to use of ammonia. You can read the instructions on your carpet.
Note: do not use ammonia on wool fabric.

- Ammonia
- Dishwashing liquid
- Water
- Bowl
- Soft cloth
- Gloves
Steps:
- Take a bowl and add one tablespoon of ammonia to it.
- Now pour one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and add it to the ammonia.
- Take 1-2 cups of water and mix the solution.
- Make sure to wear gloves, as ammonia can be damaging to your skin.
- You also need to be vigilant about the fabric of your carpet.
- Take the white cloth, soak one end in the water solution.
- Now squeeze the cloth that it should be damn.
- Take the damp cloth and place it on the stained surface.
- Dab it gently. Do not rub the cloth on the surface.
